GeoThinkTank LLC ("us", "we", or "our") operates the Nautical Eye mobile application, the Nautical Eye Environmental Intelligence Reporting System (NEEIRS) website, and the Nautical Eye website (hereinafter referred to as the "Service").

This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service and the choices you have associated with that data.

We use your data to provide and improve the Service. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. Service is the Nautical Eye mobile application, Nautical Eye Environmental Intelligence Reporting System (NEEIRS) website, and Nautical Eye website owned & operated by GeoThinkTank LLC.

When you access the Service with a mobile device, we may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device you use, your mobile device unique ID, the IP address of your mobile device, your mobile operating system, the type of mobile Internet browser you use, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data ("Usage Data"). We collect information about how you use our Services, such as the types of content you view or engage with; the features you use; the actions you take; the data you interact with; and the time, frequency and duration of your activities. For example, we log when you're using and have last used our Services, and what content you view on our Services.

You can enable or disable location services when you use our Service at any time by way of your device settings. Users whom choose to disable location services may not be able to use some portions of our Service (features like map initialization in your area, show my location, and location based lightning notifications). Users that choose to disable location services will by default have a starting map location of Washington, DC to begin each session.

Tracking & Cookies Data

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track the activity on our Service and we hold certain information.

Cookies are files with a small amount of data which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a website and stored on your device.   • When a NEEIRS Member submits content it can be viewed by anyone using the Service

We may work with third-party partners who help us provide and improve our Services or who use our data analytics to grow their businesses:

  • Partners who use our analytics services: we may provide aggregated statistics and insights that help people and businesses understand how people are engaging with other content on and off of our Services.

  • Advertisers: we may provide advertisers with reports about the kinds of people seeing their ads and how their ads are performing, but we don't share information that personally identifies you (information such as your name or email address that by itself can be used to contact you or identifies who you are) unless you give us permission.

  • Measurement partners: we may share information about you with companies that aggregate it to provide analytics and measurement reports to our partners.

  • Vendors and service providers: we may provide information and content to vendors and service providers who support our business, such as by providing technical infrastructure services, analyzing how our Services are used, providing customer service, facilitating payments or conducting surveys.

If you are from the European Economic Area (EEA), GeoThinkTank LLC legal basis for collecting and using the personal information described in this Privacy Policy depends on the Personal Data we collect and the specific context in which we collect it.

GeoThinkTank LLC may process your Personal Data because:

  • We need to perform a contract with you

  • You have given us permission to do so

  • The processing is in our legitimate interests and it is not overridden by your rights

  • For payment processing purposes

Retention of Data

Business Transaction

If GeoThinkTank LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, your Personal Data may be transferred. We will provide notice before your Personal Data is transferred and becomes subject to a different Privacy Policy.

We may use third-party Service Providers to host and serve video content on the Service.

Vimeo is a video collaboration and distribution service. Video is uploaded to a Nautical Eye business service plan to share your video throughout our service.
